Studio City, California: Giant Hand Car Wash

The Hand is still there, but appears to be shortened both at the wrist and at the top of the sign, judging from the other (older) photo posted. The car also appears darker, likely due to smog and general age. We did not get our car washed, but still a fun sight!

Local sign zoning laws have prevailed against a 26-foot tall giant hand holding a pink Corvette. Studio City Hand Car Wash, on the 11500 block of Ventura Boulevard, has been battling with city officials and residents for two years since it erected the sign without a permit....

Here is an unusual car wash sign. I think the pink Thunderbird [or is it a Corvette?] held aloft is the icing on the cake, so to speak. Makes Studio City look as glamorous as it sounds. If a Muffler Man had a hand that size, how tall would he be?
