Sadly, Superman is no longer there. The owner of the Collectors Mall has closed this location, and the cool statues by Rick Phelps are gone. I did talk to Rick and he told me that the Superman statue was sold to a person in Ohio. Maybe he will show up there....
[Jimerado, 04/25/2011]When approaching make sure you come around the rear of the building which is where the statue is. There is also a large Darth Vader.

At the side entrance to the Cool Ector's Mall in Owensboro is a giant statue of Superman, made by local high school artist Rick Phelps.
Inside the mall are other statues by Rick, including Batman and a toy-sized pirate ship. In front of the store is a very large Darth Vader that is more of a painting than a statue, but it is still very cool. If Rick is around, he will tell you all about them!
