Tupac Shakur Statue

Apparently, the statue not only depicts a "reverent" 'Pac, but also an older one -- the guy we spoke to said the sculptor wanted to represent him as he may have looked at age 65. I'm not sure WHY, but it's def still worth a visit.

Side note: If the Center is closed, you can prob still see Tupac (sculpture is in middle of the park to the left of the parking lot :)

Tupac Shakur Statue

We stopped by the Tupac Center for the Arts last Sunday and were sad to see it closed and surrounded by a tall fence. Exploring the perimeter, we discovered a small entrance to the garden in the back and slipped in for a few photos. It's a beautiful garden filled with roses and a unique cross-shaped fountain with a much larger than life Tupac in the center. The statue is surrounded by plaques with his poetry in bronze.
