Statue of Absent (Dead) Duck
I believe the sculptor succeeded in getting people to react to this tribute. The Labrador Duck's memorial site couldn't be more forlorn. I guess this is what extinction looks like.
[Annie, 08/07/2022]This sculpture is one of five memorials to birds driven to extinction by mankind's rapacity. They are the work of artist Todd McGrain and can be found sited near to the last place the birds were found in the wild.

The "life-size" part of the description may be misleading for non-Labrador Duck experts, as this duck is over 5 feet tall!
