Hank Williams Death Car

Hank died in the back seat of his 1952 Cadillac as he was being driven to a gig. The Hank Williams Museum was founded by Cecil Jackson, who as a handy teenager had rotated the tires on the car a week before Hank's last ride. No photos allowed inside museum.

Hank Williams Death Car

Small museum, admission was $15/each which felt a little high relative to the size of the museum but we were happy to support them! Amaaaaazing gift shop. Seriously one of my favorite gift shops ever. FYI, no photos allowed inside the museum

Hank Williams Death Car

We visited the Hank Williams museum in spring of 2010. We were pleasantly surprised to find extensive memorabilia and artifacts from the singer and composer's life. A video shown during our visit was very interesting and informative, and included many of the actual people from his short but amazingly productive life and career in the music industry. Definitely worth seeing if you are in or near Montgomery Al. And a very modestly priced admission fee.
