The Bison Meadow is on the corner of Hillsboro Rd and Tyne Blvd in the upscale community of Forest Hills. The topiary bison are in various states of disrepair, sad because it's a beautiful area. There are many types of wild flowers growing on the field. There are cut paths leading to the topiary bison, almost like a maze. There is a small parking area on Tyne for access. I hope that the city or a private citizen can keep it maintained and restore it to its former glory.

Bison Meadow is a park in south Nashville, a two acre prairie planted in 1994 along the old Natchez Trace which today is Hillsboro Pike. This was an old "Indian trail" which was originally used by large animals to travel to a salt lick on the Cumberland River which is now located in downtown Nashville. All the main original roads on the south side of town headed toward this lick. The bison in the park are sculpted out of living evergreens (they are yews I think) and stand in a meadow of prairie grass a ecosystem once abundant in the area and now rare.
A beautiful spot, it is dark at night in this park, and I used to go out there to watch meteor showers and other night-sky wonders.
