- Golden Spike National Historical Park. I-64 exit 365. Drive west on UT-13/Promontory Rd for 20 miles. Turn left onto 7200 North Rd. Follow the paved road with the center lines, through several twists and turns, for 7.5 miles to the Golden Spike site.

The monument that was originally placed at the site has undergone restoration, It was moved from its original spot to in front of the visitor center.

The Visitor Center has a great display and gifts. Outside, there are replicas of the original trains from that era that would have met from either direction. The trains have platforms so you can see inside. A movie also plays every hour. For history lovers and train lovers alike.
