James Dawson was a Titanic coal stoker and a nobody, but everyone thinks that "J. Dawson" was Leonardo DiCaprio's "Jack Dawson" from the film Titanic. The grass around James's grave has been worn away by fans.
Fairview Cemetery

- Directions:
- In Fairview Lawn Cemetery, on the west side of the city. Hwy 111 ends at the cemetery; continue south on Windsor St. and then quickly turn left at the sign into the cemetery. Drive straight down the hill. You'll soon see a building on the right and a little parking lot; park there. The Titanic graves are just south of the lot, arranged like the point of a ship's prow. J. Dawson's grave is one of the 121 identical markers; look for the one with the grass worn away, and sprinkled with offerings.

A really great cemetery to visit. There are over 100 Titanic passengers buried here. The location is well marked when entering the cemetery.
