East Peoria, Illinois: Quonset-Hut-Style Church
Despite appearances, this semicircle-roofed church is not a repurposed WWII quonset hut. The roof was made in 1937 in a local factory by manufacturer R.G. LeTourneau, who was also a member of the church.

The Quonset Hut Church is neat to see. Didn't get to go in, but taken care very well. The Ice Cream Cone building and the Rooster with the top hat on are right around the corner!
[Penny, 04/04/2017]The Quonset Hut church has been a church since the late 1940s and was started as the Bethany Missionary Church, based on a gift of RG LeTourneau. I attended from 1949 to 1954.
[Tom Getz, 04/24/2011]From the outside this sight is awesome...only in Americana! I didn't get to go inside, but I'm in the area often and I will get in there soon.

The "Last Harvest Ministries" makes good use of this old hut of the WWII era. Not sure if it has always been a church or of the history but it is a neat site.
