A road out in the middle of St Martin Parish - there are sugar cane fields all around and then this oak-lined road pops up. Very thickly planted and old oaks line the entire road 1/2 mile or so.
As the story goes, wealthy plantation owner planted this row of trees. The historical marker notes he had a carriage for his daughter's wedding canopied with spider webs - and then dusted with silver and gold dust.
