Arrived too late to go inside the free Seabird Sanctuary, but the 12 foot tall pelican with a broken wing is visible from the road. He is truly old Florida.

A fine specimen of a pelican stands at the entrance to Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary, a hospital for birds. After snapping a pic of the pelican, check out the sanctuary, which is open daily and is free.

Large Pelican sits out front of Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary on Gulf Blvd and is cool for that Florida postcard-like photo op. The Sanctuary itself is free, donations appreciated, and also amazing for photographs.
