Big Longhorn Steer Statue
The Longhorn Steer was much larger than what I was expecting!
[Olivia L., 07/04/2022]The Longhorn Statue is actually part of the longhorn ballroom next door to the Mexican place mentioned in the tip (the sign is now gone). This is the club once owned by Jack Ruby, the shooter of Lee Harvey Oswald. It was also the site of a famous Sex Pistols concert in the 70's.
It is now rented out for motorcycle swap meets and and events.

While driving the back streets of Dallas, a huge longhorn statue caught my eye. Raul's Corral Mexican Food appears to be a converted western motif steak house/motel. The longhorn stands in the parking lot in front of the business, under the marquee.
