Georgia Guidestones
World-renowned enigma! The Georgia Guidestones are a granite monument erected in 1980. The person responsible for having them made is unknown even today. Engraved on the granite structure in eight different languages is a set of ten guidelines for the management of humanity across the globe. A shorter message is inscribed at the top of the structure in four ancient language scripts.
[Kats, 04/13/2019]A man was playing music out of a suitcase, singing conspiracy theories, as this was built on 3/22/1980. Those are the special numbers of the Skull and Crossbones, a secret society George Bush Sr. belonged to. Secret Easter egg: the first stone top inner, there is a chunk missing. Was carved out and replaced with a free mason symbol, then removed by police a couple years ago. Crazy story, maybe when you stop, he'll be there. Very cool guy, say hi.
[Roadside Rick, 03/02/2017]My husband and I visited the Guidestones a couple of years ago. We were curious to see "Georgia's Stonehenge." It was very interesting, but I have to say we both had somewhat of an eerie feeling while there. Can't really explain it, but it was kinda spooky!
[Heather Burg, 10/15/2013]The Georgia Guidestones
Signage isn't great, but you can see it from the road if you're looking. It's in the middle of nowhere! And, apparently a target for graffiti artists.
[Jason Horne, 06/01/2010]At the Georgia Guidestones: Is that Geodesic dome house the home of the builder of the Guidestones? It's right across Highway 77 and visible through the east/west peephole in the center obelisk.
