Weskan, Kansas: Mt. Sunflower: Highest Point in Kansas
4,039 feet above sea level. This remote spot is just as flat as any other in Kansas -- it's just the highest flat spot. But it does have a nice sculpture and sign for photos, and a guest register in a mailbox.

Awe-inspiring vista with a pleasant breeze on a hot day. The sign at the entrance was blown down (Did I say breeze?). If you go too far past it, a rancher's sign sends you back half a mile.

Wasn't too sure what to expect, but this "monument" was absolutely worth the 10 mile drive (on a dirt road) from US 40. As mentioned, the road name is unmarked but state signs mark it clearly so it's hard to miss. It's also marked from Highway 27 if you wanted to venture to it from the east.
