Texas Tornado Museum - Closed

Closed! Was shocked to find the Texas Tornado Museum, adjacent to The Big Texan, is no more as of 5-6 months ago. Big Texan employees had a few ideas why -- along the lines of perhaps it was too tasteless for Tornado Alley.

Oh yeah, that Country Barn BBQ & Steaks several posters mentioned for having a "Muffler Man." While the food seems to get high marks, there are NO free 72-ounce steaks there. It looks like a clear attempt at confusing tourists with a "Vichy Big Texan." From the design of a big red barn-shaped hall to the "Big Texan" right down to the giant bull, there is only ONE Big Texan in Amarillo -- accept no imitations.

Texas Tornado Museum - Closed

Very small tribute to the Texas Tornado. Great little museum, complete with authentic tornado debris located outside the museum.
