A series of miracles led to the building of this glass-walled hillside shrine, so that drivers on I-80 would have a place to pray and discover Catholicism. A small, man-made stream flows down the center aisle. Life-size Stations of the Cross statues are slowly being added.

Beautiful, special place. Anyone would enjoy visiting, even if you aren't Catholic. It's peaceful and serene. All stations of the cross are complete, and there is a tree of thorns after the first couple.

Very interesting -- will be worth a return visit once all the Stations of the Cross are finished. Road to the Shrine is currently washed out, so you either have to take a detour or walk a bit.

Amazing. Beautiful. Peaceful. It was honestly one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Do yourself a favor and go if you are in the area.
[Annie, 07/06/2014]Even if you're bulleting along the interstate with places to get to, it's hard not to detour for this glass-walled church beckoning from a hilltop.
This glass-enclosed church sits atop a hill overlooking Interstate 80. A cross towers above the highway and shrine. It is well worth a visit to this beautiful church to see the water dripping from the sculpture hanging from the ceiling in the Visitor's Center. The water collects in a pool under the sculpture and flows down a path, outside the center and to the shrine. The water continues to flow under the floor to the altar.
This is a beautiful setting for sitting, praying and feeling at peace.
