White Sands Missile Range Museum

Address:: Headquarters Ave., White Sands, NM
Directions:: White Sands Missile Range Museum. From I-25 in Las Cruces drive east on US 70 for about 19 miles. Watch for the brown "Museum Missile Park" sign and exit right. Drive south about four miles to the Main Gate. Park at the visitor center, show ID (divers license, registration, insurance). The museum and rocket park are just inside the gate, on the left.
Hours:: Park is open dawn-dusk; Museum Tu-Th 8-4, Sa 10-3 (Call to verify) Local health policies may affect hours and access.

We stopped by and the museum is now closed on Mondays and Fridays. We could only walk around the outdoor missiles.

If you aren't military affiliated, park in the lot outside the gate. Check in at the visitors center (or with the officer at the gate if the visitors center is closed).

White Sands Rocket Garden and Museum

The Rocket Garden and Museum is pretty good if you are into missiles and Cold War history. Just about 25 miles from Las Cruces, and right off of the Main Gate at White Sands. Not hard to get on to on post.
