The Thunderbird Restaurant is a 1931 diner in Mt Carmel, Utah.
[Tori Armstrong, 08/24/2018]This place was worth the stop to see the sign and try the pie. It's actually a hotel, gift shop, and diner all in one. We stayed for some food and pie and took pics. The pie was good, service was great, sign was funny.
[Juice, 12/28/2012]The pies are a bit disappointing.
[Julie, 08/27/2011]Hmmm... never considered actually buying and eating pie there. Just like the sign.
Great little roadside diner from 1931 with a terrific sign that spotlights the notion of "Ho-Made" pies. Now, I would assume that, at the time this neon gem was conceived, it was just a clever play on words. However, in today vernacular, "Ho-Made" takes on a new and hilarious meaning.
The sign is worth the stop, but the pie is really good, "Ho" made or not.
