While the Delorean is now nestled in the back of the shop, it is still awesome and I get nostalgic and happy every time I see it. The biggest excitement for me: their inventive coffee drinks. They have new flavors all the time and they are delicious. Best latte in Chicago if you ask me! They also have vegan pastries and old time candy such as Chico Stix!
[M, 04/04/2013]The Delorean is still there, but it's been moved above the floor. The whole place had a facelift, and it's better than ever! Great coffee, and enjoy playing some video games (NINTENDO!) while there!

Not only does the "Back to the Future" DeLorean have a flux capacitor, but a schematic diagram of it adorns the plate glass window.
Sip coffee at the glass table with dozens of miniature star wars characters in a sandy setting that reminds one of Tatooine, while contemplating space and time travel.
Bonus: get a "my other car is a time machine" bumper sticker to go.

Stuffed in the window of The Wormhole Coffee is a DeLorean built to replicate the one from Back to the Future. The shop owner - an '80s child with a movie obsession - bought the car without the engine and assembled it in the store, adding all the Back to the Future specialty pieces like a "flux capacitor." 1980s movie toys, posters and shmada fill the rest of the store and include a model of the movie car.
He's also quite serious about coffee and they serve espresso over cocoa puffs for their trademark "Mocha Puffs." If only you could watch the Smurfs while you eat it. I wish he had TVs showing classic '80s movies and cartoons. It's otherwise perfect.
