A mechanic cheerfully granted permission to snap pics. It's the variety of Muffler Man with seams partway up the legs, and it currently has a little more paint wear. Did not spot an International Fiberglass stamp. No sign of a large Big Boy that the last tip [2021] said was coming. The small one is still there.

Stopped by to see this Muffler Man. Had the pleasure of talking with Shaun, the owner. The Muffler Man will be getting repainted soon. He is soon to be joined by a large Manners/Frisch's Big Boy.

The muffler shop was closed when I stopped by. The Muffler Man stands against the building -- pretty far back when the gate is closed. Looks like he's no longer wearing his hat from California. The business itself is pretty neat, with lots of vintage cars for sale or in restoration. There's also a grizzled Cujo-esque dog to ensure that no one hops that fence (Not that I would have... I'm just sayin').
