It's a cryptic "museum" in an old white building along the road to natural wonder Akaka Falls, and we only noticed it heading back to the Hawaii Belt Road. Posters are plastered in the windows proclaiming it as some kind of cracked science museum, a "center of cosmic consciousness and cognition." It was closed (and volunteers we asked at the train museum to the north had never heard of it).
More clues in the museum signs, described by one sign as free outdoor exhibits: "The Museum of 21st Century Science and Hyper-X Technology begins with NeoEntropy." A window display of "Contributors to Old Entropy" (is that a good thing?) includes photos of Einstein, Ludwig Boltzmann, and James Clerk Maxwell. A hand-lettered diagram illustrates the "3-form Tao (Triangle of Truth)" upon which the Kaymangi Museum is structured -- a sort of pothead pixie cheat sheet....
A look in the front door window reveals the inside is a cluttered mess of boxes, random paper, rolled up carpet. Has this museum ever had public hours? Online there's evidence that the Kayumangi Museum hosted an electronic dance party in April 2010. Maybe we're missing the point: the universe is unraveling too fast to permit a neo-entropy museum to stay open.
