Saw one before it was turned on. Not much to look at. At dusk, the tip illuminates and turns different colors, but I didn't see any lasers!

The first big paintbrush is at 4th and Las Vegas. The other is a few blocks away at Charleston and Casino Center.
[Meg Zorn, 10/08/2013]The giant laser-beam-projection paintbrushes that were supposed to create a heavenly "Gateway to the Arts" in Las Vegas -- still haven't been turned on. The artist died. Costs skyrocketed. Screw-ups plagued construction. But the city hasn't given up, and it now hopes that the Big Brushes will be ready to paint the nighttime sky by summer. Las Vegas has been waiting since 2007; guess it can wait a couple months more....
