Staying at the Hunter Springs Resort, which has a few dozen rooms -- and a hot springs-fed swimming pool. The geyser is still going every two minutes while we were here.

It appears to be broken, now little more than steam rising from the water. At least during the 20 minutes we were there...

Old Perpetual's caretakers have been battling the backers of a nearby geothermal energy plant. There's only so much hot water to go around, and if the plant siphons off too much, no geyser.
