Sacajawea Apology Plaque

Responding to complaints that a 90-year-old statue of Lewis, Clark, and Sacajawea downplayed her importance to the expedition, Charlottesville invited two Sacajawea descendants to write text for a conciliatory plaque. Statue removed in 2021.
