WWII POW Camp

The historical marker is no longer at this site. Just the old POW Camp water tower.

If driving thru town, perhaps stop, but don't make a drive there because only a plaque remains.

WWII POW Camp

The WWII POW Camp site is really an open field with a standing structure without walls. There is also a rusted water tower. Away from this picnic-like structure and across a parking lot, the town has constructed a plaque stating that the camp housed German POWs who were used to work on the farms in the area. Behind the plaque, there appears to be some kind of concession stand.

If you like buildings, continue east on 380 (major road through town) and you will see Princeton HS on the left. Attractive building.
