Shoe Trees - Sneaker Trees

Here's a picture of the Lyndonville Sneaker Trees described by others. There are four of them and the shoes number in the hundreds. It's just down the road from Golden Hill State Park which has a well kept lighthouse on the bluffs overlooking Lake Ontario.

Sneaker Tree - Another Shoe Tree

Several maple trees filled with pairs of sneakers, old shoes, etc. thrown into the branches with a wish for good luck. Local tradition has it that if the shoes stuck your wish would come true.
