[Had2thinkawhile, 08/05/2021]The monument's proximity to the Death Pit doors is an upsetting artifact of that day's tragedy.
Very easy to find. Not kept up very well, and that seems sad, especially since it is a memorial to an event of such a horrific crime.

Opening the door to the Death Pit was very moving when you consider that 11 children and 2 women died in that hole from the fire that raged above their heads. Grave marker at NE corner of memorial is that of Michael Livoda, union organizer.
