Would absolutely stop there again They have Bob Wills and the Playboys' old tour bus! He's the king of Western Swing.
[Greg, 07/28/2020]You can buy the station, the bus, and an adjacent like-decorated small building. They all have "For Sale" signs in their windows. Local restaurant across the street has great food and for real tamales with awesome sauce - Galvan's Restaurant.

This is supposedly a "fully restored" Phillips 66 gas station. We were sadly disappointed. It is in some stage of restoration, but far from what we had hoped for. The building is closed and the locals slow down and look at you if you're out milling around. The one bright spot was the Bob Wills tour bus. It's kind of out of the way and wasn't really worth it to us, but if you do go then also go down the road to Bob's Oil Well in Matador.

You'd expect to find a restored gas station somewhere on Route 66 but this one is is on Hwy 86/Main St. in Turkey Tx.
