Bath, Maine: Lobstermobile (Gone)

Giant VW-clutching crustacean served as a mobile billboard for Boston Lobster Feast in Orlando, Florida, from 1998 until 2015, when it was retired and moved to the Maine Maritime Museum, which sold it by 2021.

Directions:
Maine Maritime Museum. From US Hwy 1 eastbound take the "Historic Bath" exit, or westbound the "Downtown Historic" exit. Turn south at the stoplight onto Washington St. Drive one mile. The museum will be on the left.

The museum has confirmed that the Lobstermobile has been sold, but the buyer's identity remains a mystery. We'll keep our seabed antennae wiggling to find out where the crustacean-car might have gone.
