"Bush flying is several hours of boredom followed by a few seconds of sheer terror." Climb into the cargo hold of a waterbomber, watch a 4-D movie that puts you in the pilot seat. Without bushplanes, a lot of Canada would be inaccessible.

- Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre. Downtown, in the former Ontario Provincial Air Service hangar at the edge of the St. Marys River. Take I-75 until it ends, turn right onto Huron St., then quickly bear left on Bay St. Follow Bay St. until it ends at Pim St. The Museum will be straight ahead and to the right; look for the plane on a pole.

This place is great for kids and adults! Lots of history of the bush planes, including wreckage. There is also a nice display about Canadian women pilots and astronaut Roberta Bondar, who is from the Soo.
Make sure you see the film about wildfires and how they used water drops to put out fires. There is a hands-on science section for children.
Recently the Entomica Insectarium was added -- interesting insects, amphibians, and fish.
