I can't say I've ever been in a store quite like this one. It's like Party City meets Oriental Trading, with a bit more zany thrown in. So much to look and laugh at.

This was definitely worth the detour! It was great! They have lots of things not listed in the online catalog. The store looks small from the outside, but it is packed to the roof with the wildest things!

Archie McPhee's "Beast Of Wallingford"

On a recent trip I noticed Archie McPhee's, recently relocated to Seattle's Wallingord District, includes a new attraction: a hybrid insect/man/fish whatsis under glass known as "The Beast Of Wallingford." It's curiously enough in the exact same pose as "The Thing, Mystery Of The Desert" down off the I-10 in Arizona.

"Maybe they're related," a clerk hopefully offered.
