Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada: Woodenhead

Carved by a local road worker in the 1930s, this big wood head once overlooked the highway with a sign scolding drivers not to be "wooden headed." Now it's revered under a gazebo in Woodenhead Park.

Woodenhead is in the park right beside the bridge. The head is in a gazebo.

Behind the head there is an Angel of Hope enclosed by metal fencing. The Angel is to give hope for the return of lost or missing children. Some pictures of missing children have been attached to the fencing.
