Penobsquis, New Brunswick, Canada: Blowhard the Bony Horse
Buck-toothed, bone white, and cadaverous, larger-than-life Blowhard was the odd mascot of a now-defunct park named Animaland. Built in 1967 by Winston Bronnum, creator of many other Canadian roadside statues.

- Hwy 1 exit 198 toward Penobsquis. Follow Hwy 114 for about four kilometers. Blowhard will be on the right, behind the Animaland sign and next to the Timberland Motor Inn and Restaurant.

Animaland was a theme park along Hwy 114 that featured large concrete animal sculptures, including a Duck Slide, fighting moose, and dueling forest bears (if we base all of our knowledge on old postcards). The 1960s-era park has since closed down, though the skeletal "Blowhard" horse and entrance sign remain visible.
