Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada: 40-Foot-Long Rolls Royce

Steinbach calls itself "The Automobile City," and built a big 1931 Rolls Roadster -- a statue, not a working car -- to further its claim. Steinbach is famous for selling automobiles, not making them.

40-Foot-Long Rolls Royce

After the Great Depression of the 1930s, car sales increased. By the 1950s, as a result of aggressive promotion, Steinbach became known as "The Automobile City."

The "car" is 40 feet long by 12 feet wide by 11.5 feet tall. It was fabricated by John Henry Friesen of John Henry Signs. In 2015 the car was moved to south of Park Road West. It's now in front of a car dealership.
