Assemblage began in the 1980s. Hundreds of bicycles have been arranged in a pile, with artistic intent, along a bicycle trail.

- About 1,000 ft north of the intersection of Highways 89 and 385. Located on the west side of the highway, beside a billboard. Sculpture visible if you are heading south but hidden by the billboard if heading north. In a field 50 ft off the highway.

This is more like hundreds of bikes, and appears to be an ongoing project. Bike carcasses and wire are lying near the sculpture while other skeletons, complete with streamers, flicker in the sun. There is a small path you can take through the sculpture.

Happened upon this leaving Custer and had to stop. As an avid bicyclist, I love a good bike sculpture.

The Pringle Bike Pile is on Hwy 385 between Hot Springs and Custer.
