Visited the Shoe Tree in May of 2022. Watch out for the barbed wire!
[Kym, 05/10/2022]I drove by this tree several times in May 2021. I asked a local man about the Shoe Tree, and he said there was no story behind it. It's just a dead tree with shoes dangling from it. Very charming.

A tree full of shoes is on US-50, just west of Hinckley.
