The family that donated Big Red the Ox took him away, but there are still unique mounts to see and get close to.
[Garry, 05/22/2017]Big Red the Ox
We stopped in to see Big Red and were met with all the other animal heads and mounted wildlife decorating this store. We asked where Red was located and the employees were completely clueless as to his existence. We finally found him at the back end of the store, no longer a ladder available for pictures. Upon leaving, we made the employees aware of Big Red's location and "stardom."

The last Ox to pull freight over the Bozeman Pass is still on display at Powder Horn Sportsman's Supply. You will find him at the back of the store, surrounded by African lions and a Rhino, amid the automatic weapons for sale. The staff is friendly and encourages photos of the mounted animal collection in the store.
Another highlight is the Shoplifter's Necktie Department of hangman's nooses! Don't miss the excellent sign above the entrance of the store with its neon rifle and target!
