DFW Elite Toy Museum
The drive to the DFW Elite Toy Museum make you wonder if you're in the right place -- you drive past a number of junkyards and car repair places. There's no big sign for the place, but the directions helpfully mention the telltale ice cream cone sign at the top of the building.
The museum is an amazing gem in the middle of the DFW metroplex. With two fancy Ferraris and a nearly $2 million Bugatti, that's enough to impress, but there are nearly 3.000 cars, some from before World War II and others as scale models (including a Batmobile, a unique two-domed windshield Cadillac, and old Japanese and German metal cars).
I did not have time to visit the dogs display, but I saw a number of clocks sitting in various states of repair being readied for display. The museum is free.
