Mobile, Alabama: U.S.S Alabama Battleship
The "Mighty A," veteran of World War II, was saved from the scrap heap by the nickels and dimes of Alabama school children. Good views from the adjacent park.

The U.S.S. Alabama Battleship Memorial Park is the home of the battleship Alabama and the submarine the U.S.S Drum. It also contains different models of airplanes. You can tour the ship, and submarine for 10. It is without a doubt one of the most interesting sites I have ever seen. I strongly encourage people of all ages to visit this site.
[Tochia Hendrix, 05/22/2006]It has, obviously, the USS Alabama, a huge WWII battleship, which is now in very shallow water (it makes you wonder how it got there), a submarine, which they don't let people in anymore because it was so badly damaged in hurricanes and tropical storms, a bunch of planes, tanks, and a bunch of guns.
