The folk art troll statue near the Bicycle Fence is at the south end of a pedestrian bridge that runs parallel to the road. It's a "Billy Goat Gruff" troll, not a Tolkien troll. The plaque by the statue states that it was donated in 2005 by the Public Arts League of Salado and sculptor Troy Kelley. The bridge has its own plaque, stating that it was one of only a few dozen built with lenticular (oval) metal struts during the turn of the 20th century, and one of only a handful in Texas.

Somewhat interesting collection of old bikes attached to an old fence. Near a creepy troll statue with a goat (down the pedestrian bridge).

This bronze interpretation of the troll has reduced him to a size unlikely to threaten, never mind eat, a goat.
