Animatronic Hunter Jim
This is Hunter Jim at the Columbia Theater Cultural Resources Center. The statue starts speaking and gesticulating when you get near it, telling the history of hunting in Tyrrell County, and moving in that creepy and unnerving way found only in automatons.
He used to move around even more, but after a lightning strike left him immobile, the folks who repaired him couldn't ever get his left arm to work again, so now that hand just stays in his pocket.
