The Rhode Island Red Chicken plaque is quite large. Well worth the trip to see it and get your picture taken with the chicken!
[Donna Capozzi, 01/05/2009]A huge bronze plaque, attached to a an even larger corner stone of a wall. A great illustration of the Rhode Island Red Rooster, inscribed "The Rhode Island Red - To Commemorate the birthplace of the Rhode Island Red breed of fowl which originated near this location." The plaque is dated at the bottom 1925. Well worth the visit for you chicken lovers out there! It's only minutes off Route 195 coming from Providence or Cape Cod, or from Route 24 in Newport!
