On State 6 in downtown Quanah, Texas, look for the giant arrow near the railroad tracks, one of several arrows marking the Quanah Parker Trail across the Texas Plains. On a rare day you might see Quanah Parker himself standing by the museum sign, or his great-grandson Don Parker nearby with Comanche articles in hand.
Chief Quanah also appears in granite on the courthouse square and in a WPA-era mural in the post office just west of the square on 3rd Street. The red tile-roofed museum near the arrow has a NASA display on native son Galen Givens, astronaut.
