What a great way to break up a trip through the Indiana countryside! I emailed Mike ahead of time to let him know we would be there on a Sunday. I wasn't sure what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised to find Mike and Glenda there to greet us and tell us about the history of the ball. This thing is huge and has its own little house.
We painted coat number 23,743 and received a certificate to verify it.

We were on a geocaching trip and decided to stop and see the World's Largest Ball of Paint. If was after dark, but the owner graciously invited us in and told us the story about how the ball of paint started.
We were then invited to apply the 22,559th coat of paint. After a wonderful visit, we mentioned geocaching and he pointed to the cache container in the corner. You just can't beat a big ball of paint and a geocache at the same location. This is definitely the silliest fun we've had in a long time!

- From Alexandria, drive west two miles on Hwy 28. Turn left (south) onto N. 200 W. Drive across the train tracks, then go straight through the stop sign. You'll soon see the World's Largest Ball of Paint sign on the left.
