Odd local landmarks that were the handiwork of 1980s high school students and a mysterious 1930s Bulgarian. The tower is made from old CCC bunkhouse bed frames.

We have been traveling cross country for the past six weeks and have stopped at many of the roadside attractions on your app. Stopped to see the Eiffel Tower and snap a quick pic as we have done at many of the sites. There was a campground to the right of where we parked. Started across the park to snap the picture when a lady approached and told us if we were not camping we had to move or pay a $7.00 park pass. This is at 5:00 in the evening. We explained that we just wanted a quick picture but she didn't care, pay or get out. We left without the pic and a very bad taste for the Paris Park.

Very cool site and beautiful park. The fish hatchery building is not to be ignored either. Pay the 25 cents to feed the fish -- they jump out of the water! The Eiffel Tower almost seems enshrined in the trees, and its atmosphere bears little resemblance to the original Paris, but it is a great attraction in its own right.
[Kait, 06/11/2012]Careful that at times the park may be closed and locked. You can still view the tower and the Indian from the fence, but a bummer as they are too far away for a good picture.
[Tony K, 04/23/2011]This community's Eiffel Tower is 20 feet tall, made of welded steel. It was built in 1980 by industrial arts students at Chippewa Hills High School. It stands in Paris Park, dwarfed by trees that have grown around it. It's not tall enough to compete with other Eiffel Tower Replicas.
