Great place to spend a few days. Quite festive during winter months. Lots of shops for buying souvenirs and snack style treats. Meals can be challenging, so make reservations.

Leavenworth, Washington is a Bavarian town that hold a huge Oktoberfest Festival every year for several weekends throughout September and October. All of the buildings in town have a Bavarian theme. Even McDonald's and Starbucks have conformed to the theme by altering their fonts and logos to fit. During Oktoberfest there is Lederhosen as far as the eye can see.
Don't miss the Nutcracker Museum while in town.
