To see the monument it is free, but parking does cost money. In June 2020 we were not able to get close due to it being under construction.

Mount Rushmore is a must stop when in South Dakota. The monument is Americana at its best. The park staff is warm and friendly. Tip: go in the middle of the week in the morning (smaller crowds).
