Stonewall, Texas: LBJ's Texas White House
President Johnson and Lady Bird lived here (when they weren't in the other White House) from 1951 to 1973. It finally opened for tours in 2008, and has been retro-restored to its circa 1967 appearance. One highlight is the living room, with three side-by-side TVs so that LBJ could watch the news on ABC, CBS, and NBC simultaneously. Pre-picture-in-picture!

The house is awesome. Well worth the $3 admission price we paid. Unfortunately, there is no photography of any kind allowed inside the house. But, what else is really cool there is one of LBJ's private jets. You can climb the stairs all the way up to the entrance and pretend like you are the president. Great photo op!

This is the home and ranch of Lyndon Baines Johnson, the 36th President of the United States. The presidential plane is parked on the ranch's private runway. A driving tour of the ranch is free, but the private home tour has an admission fee.
