Framed as a President George W. Bush attraction -- but if he lived here, then dad-President George HW Bush did, too. The Bush family only spent nine years in Midland, yet lived in three successively larger homes. This, the middle one, is deemed historic. Opened as an attraction in 2006, retro-restored to how it looked when the Bushes lived in it from 1951 to 1956. Historical marker out front.

The George W. Bush Childhood Home has a unique place in American history: it was home to two Presidents, two Governors, and a First Lady. The 1950s restoration gives visitors a unique perspective into the Bush family and their legacy, and provides an interesting view of life in 1950s Midland.
