The Taft part is only one small part of a huge mural. It's a timeline of Cape Girardeau in one section, famous people from the area, and other random artwork. Very impressive!

On the dry side of the Mississippi River flood wall is the Missouri Wall of Fame. Originally painted in 1995 and retouched in 2006. Famous Missourians on the wall run the gamut from Redd Foxx to Walt Disney, Betty Grable to Rush Limbaugh, Stan Musial to Jesse James, Dale Carnegie to J.C. Penney. 47 in all! Along with the historically-themed Mississippi River Tales mural, the 1,600 foot long artwork covers 25,000 square feet. Step right up and get a good look, but watch out for the trains!
